Amrum

Set against the backdrop of Amrum Island during the spring of 1945, the film follows twelve-year-old Nanning as he takes on the responsibility of hunting seals, fishing under the cover of night, and tending to the fields to support his family. As World War II draws to a close, Nanning’s mother is incapacitated by depression, leaving him to confront emerging conflicts and discover his own way through life’s challenges.
