A man finds solace in the hospital where he’s been staying for a while, preferring its safety to dealing with real-world challenges. Despite his contentment, as his days are spent free from life’s troubles, some of his fellow patients feel imprisoned, despite feeling liberated in a way they can’t find outside. Everything changes with the arrival of a new patient—a fiery, defiant woman who challenges the status quo, unwilling to comply with the ward’s unspoken conventions. Unlike the protagonist, she refuses to stay in the ward, motivated to either leave or confront the ultimate reality. Initially disturbed by her rebellious energy, he soon embraces the chaos she brings, leading to a profound personal revelation.
