An out-of-work man named Suzuki finds himself in police custody after vandalizing an alcohol vending machine. When he astonishingly foretells the detonation of two bombs and warns of others yet to come, law enforcement becomes suspicious, considering him a potential terrorist. Initially, Suzuki asserts that he learned about the bombs through psychic foresight, later claiming that he was hypnotized into forgetting the details. He offers cryptic clues concerning the bombs, teasing and provoking his interrogators, particularly the experienced detective Kiyomiya and his eager junior, Ruike. The mystery deepens as leads point toward a disgraced police officer named Hasebe, who ended his life following a scandal years prior.
